For Authors

Author Responsibilities & Ethics

AcademicProceeding.org expects every author to uphold the highest standards of honesty, transparency, accountability, and professionalism throughout the research, writing, submission, and publication process. Authors are responsible not only for the content they submit, but also for the integrity of the scholarly record to which their work contributes.

Common policy for all SIARE proceedings

Originality

Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere.

Accurate Reporting

Methods, data, and conclusions must be presented honestly and transparently.

Authorship Accountability

Only eligible contributors should be listed as authors, and all must approve submission.

Disclosure & Ethics

Conflicts, funding, approvals, and corrections must be disclosed and handled responsibly.

1. Originality of Submission

Authors must ensure that submitted manuscripts are original works of the listed authors, have not been published previously in substantially the same form, and are not under consideration by another journal, conference, or publisher at the same time.

Duplicate submission, redundant publication, and unnecessary fragmentation of one study into multiple papers are not acceptable.

2. Accuracy and Integrity of Reporting

Authors must present methods, data, analyses, and conclusions honestly, clearly, and accurately. Research results must not be fabricated, falsified, manipulated, selectively reported, or presented in a misleading way.

Authors should retain appropriate records, underlying data, notes, and supporting documentation for their work and, where necessary, be able to provide evidence of contribution and research reliability.

3. Authorship Criteria

Only those who have made a substantial intellectual contribution to the work should be listed as authors. Authorship generally requires meaningful contribution to the conception or design of the work, acquisition or interpretation of data, drafting or critical revision of the manuscript, final approval of the version to be published, and agreement to be accountable for the work.

All listed authors must approve the final manuscript before submission. The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all eligible contributors are included, that no ineligible person is listed, and that all co-authors understand and accept responsibility for the manuscript.

4. Author Contributions

Authors should be transparent about who contributed what to the work. Explicit contribution statements are encouraged, particularly for multi-author or interdisciplinary research.

Individuals who supported the work but do not qualify for authorship, such as technical staff, editors, translators, or data-support personnel, should be acknowledged appropriately rather than listed as authors.

5. Changes to Authorship

Requests to add, remove, reorder, or otherwise alter authorship after submission should be exceptional and must be clearly justified.

Such requests may require written agreement from all affected authors and evidence of contribution before approval. Changes after acceptance are generally restricted and may be declined where the explanation is insufficient.

6. Ethical Conduct of Research

Authors are responsible for ensuring that the research itself was conducted ethically and in accordance with applicable institutional, national, and international standards.

Where work involves human participants, human data, human tissues, animals, or sensitive materials, authors must obtain all required approvals and include the necessary ethics statements in the manuscript.

When informed consent is required, authors must obtain it before submission and publication, especially when personal, clinical, photographic, or otherwise identifiable information is included.

7. Citation, Acknowledgment, and Use of Sources

Authors must properly cite prior work, acknowledge relevant sources, and give due credit to the work of others. Omissions, misleading claims of novelty, or uncredited reuse of material undermine the integrity of the scholarly record.

Where figures, tables, images, or substantial text are reused from previously published sources, authors are responsible for obtaining any required permissions and complying with copyright rules.

8. Conflicts of Interest and Funding Disclosure

Authors must disclose any financial, personal, academic, institutional, or other relationships that could reasonably be perceived as influencing the work.

Conflicts of interest do not necessarily prevent publication, but failure to disclose them may compromise editorial evaluation and reader trust.

Authors must also disclose all sources of funding and support, including grant numbers where applicable.

9. Exclusive Submission and Related Manuscripts

A manuscript should be submitted to only one journal or proceedings outlet at a time. If there are related manuscripts under review, in press, or previously published elsewhere, authors must disclose them to the editor at submission.

Authors should avoid unnecessary overlap, salami slicing, or fragmentation of one research project into multiple closely related papers.

10. Responsibilities During Peer Review

Authors are expected to engage with peer review professionally, respectfully, and promptly. Revisions should address reviewer and editor comments carefully and honestly.

Responses should explain changes clearly, justify any disagreement respectfully, and avoid misleading or incomplete revision claims.

11. Corrections After Submission or Publication

If authors discover a significant error, omission, authorship problem, or ethical concern in a submitted, accepted, or published manuscript, they must inform the journal promptly and cooperate fully in correction, clarification, or other editorial action.

12. Use of AI and Writing Tools

Any use of AI-assisted tools in manuscript preparation should be approached responsibly and transparently. AI tools cannot be listed as authors because they cannot take responsibility for the work, approve the manuscript, or assume legal and ethical obligations.

Human authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, disclosure, and integrity of all submitted content.

13. Author Declaration

By submitting to AcademicProceeding.org, authors confirm that, where applicable:

  • The manuscript is original and not under simultaneous consideration elsewhere;
  • All listed authors qualify for authorship and approve the submission;
  • The work is reported honestly and accurately;
  • Relevant ethics approvals and consents were obtained;
  • All sources have been properly cited and acknowledged;
  • Conflicts of interest and funding sources have been fully disclosed; and
  • The authors will cooperate in correcting the scholarly record if needed.
