1

Submission & Eligibility

Questions about manuscript suitability and initial submission requirements.

Who can submit to SIARE proceedings?
Authors whose work originates from approved SIARE-sponsored or SIARE-affiliated conferences, academic events, or proceedings-linked publication programs may submit, subject to the scope and requirements of the relevant proceeding.
Does conference acceptance automatically guarantee publication?
No. Conference acceptance does not automatically guarantee proceedings publication. All manuscripts remain subject to editorial checks, peer review requirements, ethics compliance, and final publication approval.
Can I submit a paper that is under review elsewhere?
No. Submissions must not be under consideration elsewhere unless explicitly permitted under a declared and transparent publication arrangement approved by the publisher.
Do I need to use the official template?
Authors are strongly encouraged to use the official proceeding template where available. This helps ensure formatting consistency, accurate metadata handling, and smoother production.
2

Manuscript Preparation

Questions about structure, content quality, and technical preparation.

What should my manuscript include?
A typical manuscript should include a title, abstract, keywords, author information, main text, figures/tables where relevant, references, and any required declarations such as funding, conflicts of interest, or ethics statements.
How much should a conference paper be extended?
Where an extended version is required, authors should make meaningful scholarly improvements, such as deeper analysis, additional experiments, expanded discussion, improved validation, or more developed technical explanation.
Can I include AI-assisted content?
AI-assisted tools may be used only in line with the platform’s Plagiarism & AI Policy. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, citations, and claims in the manuscript.
What if my work uses simulations or code?
You should describe software, model assumptions, parameters, workflow logic, and validation procedures clearly enough for scholarly assessment and, where possible, reproducibility.

3

Peer Review & Editorial Decisions

Questions about review models, revisions, and editorial outcomes.

How does peer review work?
Peer review is conducted according to the policy and process applicable to the relevant proceeding. Depending on the proceeding, review may involve editorial screening, reviewer assignment, revision rounds, and final editorial decision.
How long does the review process take?
Review timelines vary by proceeding, conference workflow, reviewer availability, revision complexity, and editorial workload. Title-specific timelines may be available on the proceeding page.
What decisions can I receive?
Typical decisions may include accept, minor revision, major revision, reject with resubmission possibility where applicable, or reject.
Do I need to respond to every reviewer comment?
Yes. Authors should provide a clear point-by-point response to reviewer and editor comments, showing how each issue was addressed or respectfully explaining why a suggestion was not adopted.
4

Ethics, Authorship & Compliance

Questions about ethics obligations and publication-integrity requirements.

What are the main ethics policies I must follow?
Authors should comply with Publication Ethics, Authorship & Contribution, Conflict of Interest, Plagiarism & AI, Data & Reproducibility, and any proceeding-specific Publication Ethics & Integrity page.
Can I change authors after submission?
Authorship changes after submission may be allowed only with proper justification and documented consent from all authors, subject to editorial review.
When do I need ethics approval or consent?
Ethics approval and informed consent are required where the research involves human participants, clinical data, animals, identifiable information, or other regulated or sensitive research contexts.
What happens if plagiarism or misconduct is suspected?
The manuscript may be paused, clarified, investigated, rejected, or subject to post-publication action depending on the seriousness and evidence involved.
5

After Acceptance & Publication

Questions about proofs, DOI assignment, indexing readiness, and corrections.

Will my article receive a DOI?
Accepted papers published by the platform are normally assigned a DOI in line with the platform’s DOI & Metadata Policy.
Can I make changes at proof stage?
Proof-stage changes are usually limited to correction of typographical, formatting, metadata, or minor factual issues. Major scholarly changes generally require editorial approval.
Can my article be corrected after publication?
Yes. If a material issue is found after publication, the platform may issue corrections, editorial updates, expressions of concern, or retractions, depending on the case.
Can I share my published article?
Sharing and reuse depend on the applicable copyright and licensing terms shown for the article or proceeding.
